The 3 pillars of the project
Clean schools and sustainable education for Lucerne children
The project aims to clean schools and gyms using smart cleaning robots. The "Robotics Driver's License" as an additional component can simultaneously convey technical concepts in a playful way, promote creative problem-solving, and develop an understanding of automation and digitalization among the younger generation.
Clean nursing homes and relief for nursing staff
Cleaning robots clean nursing homes and the use of service robots in elderly care can significantly improve the quality of life of residents.
They can perform tasks that are difficult for older people, such as carrying objects or remembering medication.
They can also serve as social interaction partners and reduce loneliness. Bring-and-fetch robots can relieve the burden on nursing staff by taking over everyday transportation tasks.
Cleaning robots for public places
The slogan "Lucerne Shines" stands for a clean cityscape. The introduction of sustainable cleaning robots in public spaces in Lucerne represents an important step toward environmentally friendly and resource-efficient urban cleaning. Autonomous cleaning robots consume less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional cleaning techniques. In close cooperation with the public sector, these robots can be tested to promote sustainable urban development and reduce the city's ecological footprint.
